Dr. Meng Qin is a Research Associate Professor, M.Sc. supervisor in College of Polymer Science and Engineering at Sichuan University. She completed her undergraduate studies at the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Southwest University, in 2011. She earned her Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from the Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, in 2016 under the guidance of Professor Yanlin Song. From 2017, she conducted postdoctoral research in the research group of Professor Ximin He at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). In March 2021, she joined the research group of Professor Jianshu Li at the College of Polymer Science and Engineering, Sichuan University.
Dr. Qin has authored multiple papers in renowned academic journals, including Advanced Materials and Angewandte Chemie International Edition, where many of these papers have an impact factor exceeding 10. Her work has been recognized through the selection of three of her papers as ESI Highly Cited Papers and the inclusion of three papers as journal covers in Advanced Materials. Her research contributions have been highlighted in publications like Advanced Science News and Nanowerk, and her papers have received citations in well-regarded journals such as Nature Materials, Nature Photonics, Nature Reviews Materials, Chemical Reviews, and the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, totaling over 1,000 citations.
Dr. Qin's primary research interests include sensor devices based on materials like photonic crystals, hydrogels, photochromic compounds, and nanoparticles. Her work also encompasses structural color devices and optoelectronic devices.
