Dr. Chunmei Ding is an Associate Professor and Ph.D. supervisor in the College of Polymer Science and Engineering. She is actively involved in both teaching and research activities. Her teaching responsibilities include undergraduate courses such as "Materials Science and Engineering Fundamentals" and "Biological Polymers and Products," as well as graduate courses like "Frontiers in Biomedical Engineering" and "Biological Material Surface Interfaces." Her course "Materials Science and Engineering Fundamentals" was recognized as one of Sichuan Province's second batch of high-quality undergraduate courses, both online and offline. In 2019, this course was also designated as a Model Ideological and Political Course. Chunmei Ding has received several teaching awards, including the third prize in the 6th Sichuan University Teaching Innovation Competition. She has been honored with the "Exploratory and Small-Class" Teaching Quality Award for three consecutive years (2019, 2020, 2021), the "Huifu Excellent Teacher Award," and was recognized as an excellent guiding teacher in the 8th China National College Students' Polymer Materials Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition.

In her research role, Prof. Ding has been the principal investigator for multiple research projects, including two National Natural Science Foundation projects, one National Youth Foundation project, and a total of nine projects supported by the Sichuan Science and Technology Department, the National Key Laboratory's Excellent Young Talent program, and Sichuan University's Key Scientific and Technological Leader Cultivation program. In 2022, she was selected as part of Sichuan University's "Double Hundred Talent B Plan."

Prof. Ding has published 67 research papers in renowned academic journals like Energy Environ Sci, Angew Chem Int Ed, Adv Funct Mater, Adv Sci, Small, and Chem Eng J. Her work has been cited more than 1200 times, and she has an H-index of 22. In the last five years, she has published 37 SCI papers as the first author or corresponding author. Additionally, she has applied for 16 national invention patents, with 12 of them already being granted. She serves as a peer reviewer for several academic journals, including Nano Today, Adv Sci, Bioact Mater, and ACS Appl Mater Interfaces.
